1/1000 of a happening [VTDK:Vilnius:Lithuania]

1/1000 of a happening is an interactive performance inviting viewers to participate in the process. One is being invited to stand in front of the camera to have commemorative photograph taken. Before the act itself it is suggested to adjust a transparent film accordingly to one’s will.
The outcome is multilayered photograph, in which the participant and background are covered by projected image. The process itself is imperceptible, mimicking the typical studio shot. The photograph is the only record of the projection as short as 1/1000 of a second.

Sincere thanks
to authorities and employees
for warm welcome, possibility of realization of the exhibition
and assistance during the entire process.

Exhibition realized during the internship in the project
“Raising the potential of universities as a factor in the development of knowledge-based economy”
financed under the Human Capital Operational Programme cofunded by the European Social Fund.

Ephemeral architecture – Poltva river revitalisation [Białystok:Poland/Lviv:Ukraine]

Niestety wiek XX i 2 wojny światowe przyniosły zniszczenia. Mieszkańcy i sąsiedzi byli zmuszeni stanąć przeciw sobie w walce, zostało zatartych wiele świadectw historii mi...

(Un)necessary [10th Multi.Art:Kalisz:Poland]

(Un)necessary object, 2016, 10×10×15 cm: 3D print (PLA) (Nie)zbędne  obiekt, 2016, 10×10×15 cm: druk 3D (PLA) [ scroll down for description ] The object was created as a result of the observation of 3D printing technology. Sequences of numbers and algorithms have only become guidelines for its physical representation. Expected tool inaccuracy, non-uniformity of the material and a number of external factors make, what might seem possible to duplicate information, in fact, an individual and unique form. Similarly, as in the case of other processes (eg. casting), so here appear elements, unwanted in the final object, but necessary due to technological reasons. Usually removed by the author, they reveal the nature of the process and constitute its clear record. Thin threads are traces of the print-head movement. At the same time their multiplication and density become the basic building material of space. Obiekt powstał jako wynik obserwacji technologii druku trójwymiaroweg...

Machine Creative [MKiDN Scholarship "Culture on the Web"]

Machine Creative visualization – published on 18th of September 2020 – Facebook post #7 Maszyna Twórcza – wizualizacja – opublikowana 18 września 2020 – post 7. na facebooku Introduction | Wstęp The creative process begins with an idea that the artist initially carries within himself. Then he tries to bring it out and show it the world using the chosen medium. I would like to uncover this process for my audience. Invite creators, artists, and viewers to participate as an active commentator, shy observer, or direct participant. A machine-object will be used to show the creative process, the construction of which I will register, and make public. The source is a modern technology of 3D printing, resulting from my previous creative researches. I will reveal an observation of the development of the work, its creation, and its gradual evolution in the form of photo-video documentation in the Internet media. The final object will be both a work and a mechanical creator of subseq...

Alloy [WAR:miejsce sztuki44/FAMA 2017:Świnoujście:Poland]

Alloy installation/object, 2017, extruders, electronic driver, PLA, plywood Aliaż instalacja/obiekt, 2017, ekstrudery, elektroniczny układ sterujący, PLA, sklejka [ scroll down for description ] Alloy  is a continuation of the deliberations on three-dimensional print, in which deconstruction of the process takes place. The final object, based on the basics of the technology and using its compound elements, entirely loses its functional meaning. Only the two elements used for extruding material are extracted from the device [FDM printer] and posed opposite each other. Controlling the position was eliminated from the process, and the structure increase is based on variable physical factors. The lack of direct control over the movement of the print heads and their rigid attachment to the walls of the object eliminates the possibility of creating a strictly determined form. Control is limited to the most basic of functions, i.e. maintaining the proper temperature of t...

Populations [Ciało otwarte:miejsce sztuki44/FAMA 2016:Świnoujście:Poland]

Populations installation/objects, 2016, 15 × Ø120×20 mm: medical cabinet, Petri dishes, 3D print (PLA) Populacje instalacja/obiekty, 2016, 15 × Ø120×20 mm: szafka lekarska, szalki Petriego, druk 3D (PLA) [scroll down for description] Populations  are the result of my wander through many systems and meanings. Digitally generated and virtually soulless piece has its roots in mathematical theories that represent natural phenomena. On the other hand detail is the record of process that results from physical character of used material and tool. Populations  were created inside Petri dishes – a laboratory glassware, which is used to culture microorganisms. Geometrical plan of a 3D print was developed with mathematically generated height map and resulted in three-dimensional model. Organic form reminds of urban patterns. Digital representation was complemented by trace recording of print-head movement over the object. Purely technical form was completed by action, that is d...
